Making a popup camper shirt with HTV.

I would rather be camping than shoveling snow…

Last week I posted a sneak peek on Ruthyanne’s Facebook page of a project I was working on. It turned out AMAZING! I wanted an “I would rather be camping” shirt with a popup camper on it. So I made one using HTV(heat transfer vinyl AKA Iron on vinyl).

I started out by designing the popup on Photoshop, and uploading it to Cricut design space. From there I cut it, and my words out on some HTV. **Make sure to mirror your images before you cut. Cricut has a little check box before you click go.** I weeded the cut pieces. Weeding is basically taking everything I don’t want on the finished product off the backing, or in the case of HTV, the front.

From there I laid the pieces out on the shirt (Which I got for $1 a Kmart!). I followed the directions on my HTV and ironed it on.

It turned out pretty fantastic I do say so myself! I cant wait to make one for my boys. Without the glittery HTV of course.
