Cricut Mystery Box January 2017 **Awesome deal!**

Did you know that Cricut has a mystery box of the month?

I didn’t know Cricut had a mystery box until last month. Its a while supplies last, and let me tell you, they don’t last long. I tried to grab one in December but they sold out by the time I received the email. I was lucky to grab one this month. Each month varies and you don’t know what you are getting until after you purchase the box.

This box defiantly is worth the money spent, look at all the goodies!First off I got metallic markers. I’ve been looking for an excuse to purchase these, but couldn’t find one. I’m now planning the perfect project to try them out on. From left to right we have a sliver 1.0 marker, gold 1.0 marker, and the gold assorted tip markers. You can purchase the marker set anywhere that sells Cricut supplies. They cost around $10. The individual markers I think are a Cricut exclusive since I couldn’t find them anywhere except in packs. So we will just say the cost of the markers is about $14.

Four rolls of vinyl. The colors are bronze, gold, silver and platinum. I already have plans in mind for these. The rolls sell for about $10 apiece. Once again it all depends on where you shop for Cricut brand items. The total for the vinyl is $40. That alone covers what I paid for the box. (See what I used these rolls on, by clicking here or here)

Three Cricut cartridges. These are cartridges I personally wouldn’t have bought. But now that I have them, I’m sure they will be put to use. They range in sale price $14-$16 on Amazon. We will just round and say they are $15 apiece. $45 for all three. The cartridges I received are:

  • Seasonal Soirees ~ Event

    • This is has about 90 different projects/ideas for different seasons. Lets be clear, 90 items total that pertain to different seasons. Mainly Halloween, fall, Valentines Day, St Patrick’s Day, Winter, and Christmas. The projects range from cards to cupcake holders. It will be interesting to see what I’ll use out of this set.
      • According to the package it has 20 cards, 10 Envelopes, 23 3D objects(Bags, boxes, cupcake liners etc.) and 30 images.
  • Spring Fling ~ Craft

    • The booklet included shows 50 different images to make. A lot of words/phrases that pertain to spring. There are also gift tags, cards and a bunch of images I may or may not use.
      • The packaging says this has 35 layered images, 10 layered phrases, 4 cards, and 1 envelope.
  • Simple Holiday Cards ~ Craft

    • I am most excited about this cartridge. I had gotten three months of Cricut design space free when I first received my machine, and I used that to make several Christmas and birthday cards. This has a card for almost everything you would need a card for. There are even some basic designs that aren’t for any particular holiday or event.
      • Contains 48 cards and 2 envelopes.

I paid $40 for the Mystery Box and received about $100 worth of  products, and none of it is going to waste in my craft room. I cant wait for the next mystery box.  If this is something that interests you I suggest you sign up for the emails on Cricuts website. I have no clue at this point when they release them.
